It gives us immense pleasure to invite you to the 48th AMASI skill course and FMAS Examination at Department of Surgery, SCB medical college, Cuttack, Odisha. The skill course is an academic and accreditation activity of the Association of Minimal Access Surgeons of India, the largest specialist Association of Surgeons of India (ASI).
The aim of this skill course is to standardise laparoscopic surgical techniques, and to update the knowledge, keeping up with the current trends. During the course of 3 days, we will try to provide comprehensive knowledge and skills in basic to advance laparoscopic surgery. There will be a live operative workshop demonstrating commonly performed laparoscopic procedures. Our vision is that every surgeon in India should be trained adequately in the art and science of Minimal Access Surgery and every citizen should have access to minimal access surgery.
A written examination and viva voce will be conducted on the last day of the skill course. Successful candidates will be awarded Fellowship in Minimal Access Surgery (FMAS).

Cuttack offers the attractions in its surrounding places. During Cuttack tour, you can pay a visit to Nandan Kanan which is located on the way to Bubaneshwar. This is were white tigers can be found in huge numbers. Other attractions in Odisha include Puri, Konark & Bubaneshwar which is the capital city of the state.
